Fall / Winter Hockey Development Programs
The core focus of our Hockey Development Program is developing Hockey IQ, strength on and off the ice and fundamental hockey skills. At SDR Academy, we believe it is essential that each player build on their unique strengths and overcome their weaknesses. That is the foundation of our programming, and we believe it is how players grow their game.

FEMALE Spring Academy U11 to U18
From April through to the end of June, our Spring Hockey Program includes on-ice and off-ice training sessions that will be held back-to-back. Fees also include SDR Academy workout apparel and jersey.
On-ice sessions
We will hold one-hour on-ice sessions twice a week led by SDR Founder Becky McGee and SDR Coaches. The focus of the on-ice training will be split between skill development and refinement and team development. This will provide our young athletes with the opportunity to improve their individual skills, team play, and build their hockey sense (Hockey IQ).
Dryland sessions
Our one-hour dryland training will be held either before or after the bi-weekly ice sessions where we focus on getting our athletes physically fit for the game. SDR has partnered with Dr. Syl Corbett of Athletic Wise to create and guide the off-ice training for our athletes.

SDR Academy has been an excellent experience for our two kids – and to our surprise, they both love the dryland training sessions. SDR’s unique and versatile training pushes them in such a fun, supportive environment through a combination of diverse training methods, individualized exercise programs and challenging yet achievable goal setting. Their fundamental hockey skills have improved so much, but more importantly, they have learned the importance of putting in the work and being committed to excellence every day. And that’s thanks to Coach Becky and her team.
