Training as unique as our athletes
We build confidence through sport.
From hockey to soccer to lacrosse to every sport in between, our SDR Academy young athletes learn that being powerful is more than being strong. Knowledge is power. Best effort is power. Resilience is power. Leadership is power. Confidence is power.
Spring Hockey. Re-imagined.
We’ve developed our Spring Programs to be the right blend of training to physically and mentally prepare and rejuvenate kids. A lot of Spring hockey programs focus on game outcomes. At SDR, we are focused on the process, and learning and repeating behaviours that enable confidence and skill improvement.
SDR Academy welcomes Hockey Hall of Famer and Olympic champion Danielle Goyette to our coaching family.
We believe that athletic development isn’t about natural talent. It’s about hard work and purposeful practice. We can work with your team or association to build the right practice plans and show your coaches how to implement them.
2020 Dryland Training
Whether you play hockey, soccer, baseball, or any other sport, dryland training is critical as it’s where our young athletes develop the fundamental movement skills that all children need. Think of it as one-stop shopping for sports development.
2020 Spring Hockey Programs
We’ve created three levels of Spring programming, all offering progressively more development time — on and off the ice – with our SDR coaching team.
Our daughter’s first year with SDR Academy has been an overall positive experience. Coach Becky and her team are excellent instructors, who provide lots of on ice and dry land training and skill development. They adapt their instruction in a manner that resonates hockey players of all skill levels. Their energy, attention to detail, passion for the game and commitment to their athletes is extraordinary. Our daughter’s overall improvements are evidence that SDR Academy is the “Gold Standard” for hockey development.Jeff Brewer
SDR Academy has been an excellent experience for our two kids – and to our surprise, they both love the dryland training sessions. SDR’s unique and versatile training pushes them in such a fun, supportive environment through a combination of diverse training methods, individualized exercise programs and challenging yet achievable goal setting. Their fundamental hockey skills have improved so much, but more importantly, they have learned the importance of putting in the work and being committed to excellence every day. And that’s thanks to Coach Becky and her team.
