The SDR Academy Compete Camp is built for athletes who want to show up to their season sharper, faster, and more prepared than everyone else in the room. Over three high-intensity days, you will push your compete level, sharpen your details, and train alongside athletes who are just as serious as you are.
This is not a skills camp. This is the camp you do before tryouts.
This camp runs two separate streams — one for female athletes, one for male — both designed for AAA, AA, and Tier 1 players who are ready to compete at full pace and raise their game before the season starts.

Female and male athletes train in separate sessions throughout the camp.

Friday: August 7 -3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: August 8 -8:00 AM – 5:15 PM

Elite on ice development
Athletes take part in high tempo, high repetition training focused on skating, puck skills, shooting, and hockey IQ. Every session is designed to translate directly to game situations, helping players build confidence and consistency on the ice. This supports high performance hockey development in Calgary and across Canada.
Purposeful preparation for the season ahead
This camp helps athletes prepare physically and mentally for upcoming evaluations, tryouts, and the season ahead. With intentional structure and experienced coaching, players leave feeling sharper, more prepared, and ready to take the next step in their hockey journey through SDR Academy’s high performance programs.
Confidence and mindset growth
The High Performance Camp creates a competitive yet supportive environment where athletes are encouraged to push their limits. Through challenge, feedback, and structured coaching, players build confidence, resilience, and a stronger belief in their ability, key elements of complete youth hockey training in Canada.
Led by Dom Pittis
Guest Coach — working with both the female and male groups in separate on-ice sessions.
Dom Pittis brings over 1,200 professional games of experience to the ice. A former skills coach with the Calgary Flames and bench coach with the Stockton Heat and Wranglers, Dom now serves as Director of Hockey at St. Mary's High School in California — developing players at the elite level every day.
He has coached at the national level, including work with U17 programs, and brings a standard that has been tested at the highest levels of the game.
When Dom is in the building, the pace is real and the details are non-negotiable. This is your chance to train with someone who has played, coached, and developed players at every level.
