Get an exclusive taste of the National Sport School and SDR Academy partnership with the one-season 2013 Preview Program. Designed for 2013 female athletes, this short course blends NSS academics with SDR’s elite hockey coaching to prepare players for the next level. Participants take part in themed Friday skates at WinSport, receive in-season mentorship from SDR staff, and are formally evaluated for entry into the full NSS × SDR program for September.

What the preview offers

Elite coaching and mentorship
Each skate is delivered by SDR’s top coaches who provide in-season technical instruction, tactical insight and one on one feedback so players can sharpen their on-ice game and hockey IQ.

Holistic athlete development
The programme pairs on-ice skill work with off-ice learning in leadership, nutrition and recovery so athletes build stronger bodies and better decision making both on and off the ice.

Clear pathway to full admission
Athletes receive formal evaluations throughout the season. coaches use performance and commitment to assess suitability for the full NSS × SDR intake next year and provide targeted feedback to support progression.
Start Date
The preview begins on 17 October 2025 and includes 12 themed Friday skates across the season.
Time & Location
Sessions run at WinSport Arenas with 2:00 PM and 2:30 PM start options on Fridays.

Off ice components include leadership, nutrition and recovery education as well as performance feedback used for next year evaluations. Price is $713.99 CAD and includes GST and the processing fee so registration is all inclusive.
