Riley Morris isn’t just a coach – he’s a goaltending legend in the making! With a career that’s taken him from the local rinks of Calgary to the professional arenas of Europe, Riley brings a wealth of experience and an unstoppable passion for the game to SDR Academy’s Goalie Development Program.
A Glance at Riley’s Journey:

Early Beginnings: Riley’s hockey story began with the Springbank Rockies and Calgary Bronks U15 AAA, where he quickly earned a reputation for his impressive reflexes and a rock-solid .914 save percentage.

Rising Through the Ranks: As a key player for the Calgary Flames U18 AAA and Okotoks Oilers in the AJHL, Riley didn’t just guard the net – he dominated it, earning the prestigious title of AJHL/CJHL Goalie of the Year.

Making History at MRU: At Mount Royal University, Riley cemented his place as the winningest goalie in school history, balancing academic achievements with athletic excellence.

Pro Hockey Adventures: From suiting up for teams in the ECHL and SPHL to currently playing in Europe’s CEHL with HYC Herentals, Riley has faced – and stopped – some of the best shooters in the game.

And seeing how I was square to the puck or not. Through the video he sees things that I didn’t even notice and now I’m able to take video and help myself improve even more.
