Welcome To The Shield
The Shield, presented by SDR Academy, is Canada's premier female hockey showcase — built for athletes born between 2011 and 2014 who are ready to compete at the highest level and get seen by the scouts who matter.
This is a national best-on-best event where Canada's top players come together on one stage, in front of scouts from Prep Schools, Universities, and Professional organizations. From your first application to the final game, The Shield is about elite competition, real exposure, and unforgettable moments on and off the ice.

Meet The Team Behind the Shield

The Shield isn't for everyone
This event is built for the players who show up every day, not just when it is convenient. The ones who compete hard, take feedback seriously, and want to be seen by the programs that matter.
The Shield is an invite-based and application-based program. We are not filling a roster. We are building one. Every player here was selected because of what they bring to the ice and the standard they hold themselves to.
If you are looking for a casual summer hockey experience, this is not it.
If you are a player who wants to compete at the highest level, stand in front of university and prep school scouts, and represent your province on a national stage, this is exactly where you belong.
