Andy McCann

As a player, Andy had a standout career in both junior and collegiate hockey. He grew up playing hockey in Calgary and played junior hockey for several teams, including the Calgary Canucks, Fort McMurray Oil Barons, Kindersley Clippers, Humboldt Broncos, and Cowichan Valley Capitals. He then went on to play four years of NCAA III hockey at Adrian College, where he was part of the championship-winning team in the 2021-2022 season.

After retiring from playing, Andy transitioned to coaching, where he has made a significant impact at every level. He has coached at both the midget level and has a deep understanding of the game. He has a passion for developing young players and helping them reach their full potential, with a proven track record of success.

Last season, Andy took on the role of head coach for the Calgary Royals, the team where he got his start playing hockey. It was a full circle moment for Andy, and he was thrilled to be able to give back to the community that had supported him throughout his playing career. He led the team to a successful season, and his expertise and dedication earned him the respect and admiration of his players and colleagues alike.

Andy’s expertise and dedication to coaching have earned him a reputation as one of the best in the business. He has a talent for identifying the strengths and weaknesses of his players, and develops customized training programs to help them improve. His positive and enthusiastic approach to coaching has inspired and motivated countless players over the years.
